Well Mia is now 20 months old and is as active as ever! She lovessss to run and play with her babies..especially loves putting them to sleep on their belly with a blanket. On Feb. 27th Mia started putting two words together just out of the blue and since then her vocabulary has expanded a ton! She can probably say between 50-60 words and keeps adding new words on each day. It's pretty cool!
Mia is still in daycare for another 3 weeks b/c we weren't sure how long it would take to sell our house. I finished student teaching last Friday and we just decided to keep her in for a bit longer so the house could stay cleaner longer. She lovesssss daycare so much so it was a pretty easy decision although I miss staying at home with her.
All is well here and we are very excited about our house selling so quickly! PA, DE or VA...here we come!

Our House is SOLD!
Just wanted to let you know that this morning Josh and I SOLD our house!! Woo Hoo! We received an offer yesterday morning for $409K, 10K lower than what we were asking, so we countered it with $414K, a 45 day escrow and a 3 week period where we would rent back from them. They had 24 hours to respond and accepted the counter offer this morning! They want a 30 day mortgage though and said we could rent from them from May 1 to June 1 which works out perfectly for us b/c the money we make off the house will be in our bank account when we buy back home. The sweet thing about this is that they will be on vacation from May 1-June 8 which is why they accepted the rent back offer. They first wanted to end escrow June 8 but that was too long for us to wait to sell and get the funds from our home. We weren't sure if they would accept our counter, truthfully, I didn't think they would. So when our agent called us this morning, I was a bit in shock and kind of still am. We are very excited though that we found the perfect buyer (the next buyer may not have let us rent it back from them since most buyers want to move in as soon as escrow ends) and they seemed like a really nice couple. I guess we really lucked out and thank god we got a perfect deal!
Josh, Mia and I will most likely be flying back home at the beginning of May to look at homes we like and to see if we could find the one that is meant for us. We have a few right now that we like, but who knows if they will still be on the market in another month. Then right around the last week of May is when we plan to leave Cali (tear tear sniff sniff) and just thinking about it is making me sad. It's going to be bitter sweet and I don't really like good-byes, but we know we have to do it...and that is it a perfect time to move. We just hope we can find a house we really like and fall in love with!
We still can't believe we sold our house this quickly! It is amazing and god definitely helped us out. :) We are very thankful to say the least!
Sorry for the novel, but just wanted to let you know about the good news and how happy we are!

House for Sale!
Many of you know already, but for those of you who do not, this Friday Josh and I will be putting our house up for sale! We've been in our house for 5 years and living in Cali for 6 1/2. The market right now is pretty good so we're hoping it will sell in a reasonable amount of time. This past weekend Josh was busy doing touch up work on the walls and floorboards which look great. We got our carpets and grout cleaned and sealed last week and now we just basically have to straighten up. I can't believe it's going on the market already though?! Josh and I have been talking about it for quite some time now and it's finally happening. If we get a buyer w/in a few weeks, we could be leaving Cali for sure by May sometime. It's going to be a bitter sweet time when we do. :(
For those of you who do not know, Josh found out a few weeks ago that he is able to keep his job here at Intel and work from home back east! He and I were really excited that he got approved for this and it is such a relief off our shoulders. It's just one less thing we have to worry about. :) He is also able to still take his sabbatical but it got pushed out until the end of May which he is excited for. Now we just have to decide on where we want to go?
Josh, Mia and I will be getting company in a few weeks for Easter which we can't wait for. My sister (Linda) and her man will be visiting for a week which I'm sure will be fun. We'll prob be going wine tasting (I'll be wine observing and the DD), taking a trip to Tahoe and maybe San Fran. We'll see what we have time for though, but I'm sure it'll be a great time. We're just glad we get to spend Easter finally with someone from our family. :)
My student teaching experience ends this Friday along with Mia's daycare experience (she loves it there but it is just too $ to keep her in even part-time w/o me working). I love being a teacher though and know this is what I want to do. However, right now with having a toddler and being prego, the teaching and kids mostly is wearing me out big time. It was fun though and I had a good time!
Well that's the scoop from here. Hope you are all doing well and I will keep you posted on selling our house. :)

2nd Prenatal Appt. March 6, 2007
Hi Guys,
Well I had my 2nd prenatal appointment on March 6 and it went very well. I went by myself b/c Mia was home sick and daddy took care of her. I weighed in at 126 1/2 lbs, and gained about 8 lbs so far w/ clothes on. My doc had a hard time once again finding the heartbeat b/c the placenta was taking over the show...again! She said it was b/c I hardly have any fat in my belly and I was like did you not notice the size of my stomach? haha! Anywho, I heard the baby kick and move but I didn't feel the movements and she finally found the heartbeat which was in the 160s. It was strong! It probably took her about 2 minutes or so to find the heartbeat but that was expected since it happened during my 1st appt too.
Movement wise, I may have felt some "pops" right on week 14 but haven't felt much yet. My doc said it may take another couple weeks to really notice them.
My nausea hasn't left me yet...it's still lingering around and making me feel just so blah. Nothing really sounds good to me unless it's pasta or toast. Everything I eat though makes me nauseous, everything. And whomever said it's "morning sickness" needs to revise that statement to "24/7 sickness". I figured it could be worse with me yaking and it hasn't come down to that thankfully. When I look back at Mia's journal, I had nausea for quite some time....maybe until I was 25 weeks but after about 16 weeks, it died down a lot. Then I just had it every so often and not every day. I look forward to that. :) But hey they say it's a good thing to have nausea so I'm thankful for that. :)
I have almost 5 weeks left until we can find out what we are having! WOO HOO!! I think I may be able to find out around 19 weeks like we did with Mia which is very exciting! I also think my sister and her man will be out here visiting when we find out...how awesome would that be!!
My next doc's appointment will be on Tues. April 10th when I will be 19 weeks prego. Maybe my sis will want to come with me so she could hear the baby's heartbeat?! :) It is pretty amazing to hear!
That's it for now...have a nice day!

My Docs Appointment
Hi Guys,
Well I think you all know by now that Josh and I are prego...again! Woo Hoo!! If you don't, then "WE'RE PREGO!!" We are so excited for baby #2 to come and are somewhat prepared for what is to come (sleepless nights, nursing 24/7, changing diapers galore etc..ya know, the fun stuff!)...I hope! I am 10 1/2 weeks along, right behind Patsy who is 13 weeks along. Too cool!! My tummy is def bulging and bigger than it was when I was 10 12 weeks prego with Mia. I say I look like how I was when I was about 14 weeks prego with Mia. I pulled out my maternity clothes but can't fit into most of them just yet. I'm sure I will soon though!
I feel okay despite the nausea I have each day. At first, I didn't have nausea that much unlike the daily nausea I had with Mia from the beginning. With Mia I felt full when I had nausea and really liked breads and pastas. With this pregnancy, my nausea isn't such a full feeling as it is a yakking feeling (sorry for the mental pic). It seems to be worse when my stomach is empty so I need to eat more often than usual. I still like the breads and pastas like I did with Mia and they seem to be the two things that make me feel a little better.
I had my 1st prenatal appt. yesterday and all went very well thankfully! I got weighed in at 123 (w/ clothes on) which is slightly less than I weighed with Mia at 10 weeks. I prob gained about 5 pounds already (w/ clothes on) which is what I expected to gain so far. I still can continue with exercising and go to the gym at least 5-6 times a week. It definitely helped me lose the baby weight I gained with Mia. I lost 48 lbs I gained with Mia within 4 1/2 months and hope that I can do the same with this baby too (if I gain that much again...we'll see!) :)
We got to hear baby #2's heartbeat yesterday which was awesome! I don't think I'll ever stop being amazed by the sound of a baby's heartbeat. :) It took about 3-4 minutes to find the heartbeat b/c the placenta's sound was taking over the Doppler...it was funny. I was getting a bit worried but knew that it had to be there b/c of the daily nausea I have (not as badly as I had with Mia but I still have it...my hormones are def working so that's a good thing!). Once she found it though, it was such an amazing sound! Our baby's heartbeat was in the 170s which is slightly higher than what Mia's was two years ago (hers was in the 160s). My doc said our due date hasn't changed and I will be due on Sept. 1 via a C-section. I'm going to ask her if they will take me earlier than that since most docs do to prevent you from going into labor.
I will be going to the docs once a month now until I get to be about 30 some weeks then I will be going 2x/month. Our next appt. is on March 6 when I will be in my 14th week. We look forward to the visit once again!
I'll be taking some belly shots as I did with Mia for you all to see. It's really amazing to see how big my belly got with Mia and I am still shocked at how BIG I was at the end!

High Temp!
So after daycare on Monday, Mia was fine when we got home but wasn't herself after a half hour or so. She started to lay down on a pillow and just kind of seemed uncomfortable after my friend her and toddler left. I noticed that her legs looked flush along with her cheeks. I then took her temp and it was 102.3...I had NO idea! I'm sorry, but hopefully you nor Drake contracted what she has. I really had no idea or else I would have told you. She was fine right up until a few minutes before you came and I guess that was Mia was VERY mellow and not herself when you were here. She laid on the pillow from the time you left and was in and out of sleep. She didn't want juice and just wanted to sleep. I asked her if she wanted to sleep in her crib and she said "no". I said, "Do you want to sleep here in the living room on the pillow?" and she said yes. It was really cute and I felt so badly. I just rubbed her back while she laid down. She ended up sleeping from 6-6:30 in the living room...never did that before! She woke up around 6:30ish and was a lot happier and more herself thankfully...I think the meds kicked in then. Phew! She even ate very well at dinner and went right down to sleep for us at 8 w/ a lower temp.
That was Monday...Tuesday was a repeat, temp wise until that night when her temp went down to 101.4. She was a bit cranky for josh throughout the day but wasn't mellow like she was on Monday. She ate pretty well too and slept 12 hours...napped a good nap too! Today, Wednesday, Mia's temp broke...at least we think it did, and went down to 99. She stayed home from daycare today with Josh and did just fine thankfully. She didn't want any milk though but I'm sure it was due to just her getting over her fever. All is well though with Mia thank god!

Mia Update at 19 months
Miss Mobile Mia is 19 1/2 months old and getting big! She is very active and loves to run around and test out her lungs...it's quite funny. She still loves her puppy and oso (bear) and carries them wherever she goes. We always bring puppy to daycare with her...she'd be lost w/o it. Mia also loves to rub her head on the floor...not sure where she got that from though? She also loves to be tickled, give hugs and kisses and pretend to go potty on her potty seat...which she has yet to do.
Mia is about 26 lbs and 34 inches tall. She is growing out her 18 month old pants and slowly but surely her 18 month old wardrobe is depleting. Guess that means time to do some shopping!
Eating wise, Mia is a good eater for the most part. She eats better at daycare though but at least she eats. Mia loves to eat nanas (bananas) and grapes...her favorite! She also loves pasta just like her mommy does!
Ever since Mia started daycare, she has been getting up around 6:15-6:30am and getting around 11 hours of sleep. She'll usually play in her crib while I get ready for school so that's nice. On the weekends it stinks to get up that early and we've been trying to put her back down....sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Today, she actually feel back to sleep on her own w/o me having to go in and give her milk. NICE! I was happy b/c I needed to sleep a tad bit more. I'm hoping that I can get Mia back into her 7:30-8am wakeup schedule when I finish student teaching on March 23.
Daycare has been treating Mia very well. She is learning a ton of baby signs and loves to play with all the kids there...along with bopping them on the head. Yeahhhhh not sure where she learned that either. Mia naps well there, about 2 hours which still surprises us!, and loves to do circle time where they do baby sign and play with BEBO the sign language bear. I'm really happy that she loves it there b/c I'd definitely feel quilty if she didn't. Mia's last day of daycare is on March 23. I'll be sad to take her out, but happy that we don't have to pay over $900/month for it.
Mia's baby sister or brother is in its 14th week and I'm feeling pretty good...still nauseous but it's starting to lessen as of this week. My belly is big and I'm starting to fit into my bigger sized jeans and shirts. I may have another few weeks to fit into my prego clothes b/c they are still a bit big on me. I have my 14 week check up on Tues March 6 where we'll get to hear the heartbeat once again...exciting!
Hope all is well with you guys! Until next update....
