On Thanksgiving, Mia started saying "baby" and "No". She now loves saying baby and says it a lot more than no thankfully!
Mia is also congested since this past Friday and ran a slight fever then. She's coughing a ton more today especially when she went to bed. Poor thing! Her nose is also very running and it seems like I can never keep up with it. We think Mia got sick from another 16 month old who was in the cry room at church a week ago. The other girl was coughing a lot while Mia was in there with her and Josh knew that she was going to get Mia sick. I may have to take her to the dos tomorrow if it gets worse. We've been giving her Dimetap so that may help. We'll see!

Two Signs, Jumping in Crib
Since Mia turned 16 months on Nov. 14, she's been signing two words at a time, more and please and also has been holding on to the crib rail and jumping! It's sooo cute to see! This little person jumping up and down and laughing! I love it! I also think it's amazing that she can sign like she does. I'm trying to teach her new words but she does not seem interested. I'll keep trying!!
So far Mia can say the following words:
DaDa
MaMa (she's been saying this and DaDa a ton since a few weeks ago)
Up
Down (kind of)
Uh Oh
Gato
Go Go Go
We are working on cheese, milk, more, please amongst some others. I'm trying to teach her spanish, english and baby sign at the same time. :)
Tomorrow is Mia's 2nd Thanksgiving! We will be spending it with our friends and their kiddies. Should be fun!

Shoe Shopping
Today, I had to go out and get Mia new shoes b/c her feet are getting bigger. I went to Target and found 4 really cute shoes for Mia there...all under $13. :) I got her two brown pairs, a realllllly cute pair of sneakers (so cute, like adult running sneakers but smaller!) and a black pair which was a 6 and did not fit Mia. The rest are a 5 1/2 and fit her perfectly.
We visited Stride rite today which was fun...for Mia! She wanted out of her stroller and ran around most of the time. There were a few kids there whom Mia was interested in but that didn't last long. The lady there said Mia is a 5 1/2 or 6, but I bought a 6 at Target and they were way too big. I'm sticking with the 5 1/2. Mia did not like it when the lady measured her foot. She did it quickly and only measured her left foot, b/c Mia was kind of crying and antsy. It wasn't easy. Plus, Mia prob did like how crabby the lady was. I was like CHEER UP! Anywho, I figured Mia was a 5 1/2 but just wanted to be sure.

Congested! Not sleeping! :( Nov. 10, 2006
Yeah so Mia is still not alseep and it's about 9pm! So far, we've gone in there 4x and the last time I went in, I asked her what she wanted and she signed milk...so I gave her some and she drank about 7oz (she just had about 6 oz around 7:15! We've never had to do that before.). She also developed a cold/runny nose and it got a bit worse by the time she went to sleep tonight. Now she can't breathe through her nose and this is why she won't go down. It's happened to us before and it's taken us around 6 times to get her to go down the last time this happened...and it happened for more than a few days in a row. Anywho, I may have to go back in to get her b/c she is still crying....hopefully she'll go back down soon b/c I need to get some school work done!
Mia finally went to bed at 9:30 after 5x of trying to get her to go to bed. Phew!
