Miss Mia is now just about 21 months old (on the 14th she will be) and is active as ever! She loves to play with her dollies, put them to "night night" with a blankie on their back and loves to try to put the doggie and kitty to night night too! haha! Mia also loves to try to put her shirts on, take her diaper off and go in her crib just to play. She loves to try to read her books or boats as she calls them and look at her reflection in the mirror. She also loves to dance along to fun kiddie music while mommy's driving. :) She also just loves showing off and making funny faces for mommy! All in all, she just loves everthing!
On Easter, Mia had a great day! We got to eat brunch with our friends, my sister and her family which was nice. Although Mia had a rough time in church, she did well at the restaurant thankfully! She also got to experience another Easter Egg hunt (her 3rd one!) and she loved picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket. Mommy and daddy got her an Elmo Easter basket with chalk, bubbles, stickers, cookies and a juice box in it. We also got her a stroller for her dollies which converts into a shopping cart! She really loves it! Our parents got her some cute things too including books, a soft toy lamb that "bahs" and moves which Mia just loves to play with, a coloring book and an Easter dress. She got lots of Easter goodies and had a fun Easter as did we!
Sleep wise, she is back to her 12 hour sleep schedule since we stopped taking her to daycare full-time. Her last day was yesterday and although it was really good for her, we just couldn't afford to keep her in any longer. Plus, I LOVE staying at home with her and witnessing all the things she does daily.
Mia still eats well when she wants to. She doesn't drink too much milk since she had a fever about a month ago but is improving. Mia loves pasta like her mommy and spicy salsa as she would say. She also loves fruit (or boot) and her fav snack is gold fish! She LOVES gold fish!
Mia still does baby sign even though she can say the words. She picks up on things so easily and has done so since the past couple months and can say over 60 words. I think I'll stop counting once she reaches 100 words...haha! It's cute to see her do the fish sign when she says she wants "fish" for a snack (gold fishies that is).
Miss Mia loves having her Aunt Linda around this week to play with. Mia doesn't get to see her very often so it's cute to see how well she adjusted to having new people in the house. Oh and Mia just loves saying Linda's name...she says, "Neena!!"
All is going well here in the Carroll household. We can't believe how fast time is flying by and before you know it, Mia will be 2 and baby #2 will be here! We definitely enjoy every minute we get with Mia and can't wait for Keegan to come along! I wonder what he is going to look like and how Mia will adjust to being a big sister? Can't wait to find out! We really love being parents!

And the results are in......

HI EVERYONE!
Josh and I had our 20 week ultrasound done today and we are very excited to tell you that we are having a baby boy! How exciting to have one of each now! :) As soon as we got in the room, the tech asked us if we wanted to know the gender which we did. She was able to get a good look at "it" and said "Oh yeah, it's a boy" and then little keegan closed his legs. She was very certain though so we're pretty sure it's a boy. She also said everything looks great and that I'm a bit under 20 weeks which is what I am (19 weeks and 3 days to exact). My sister got to come with us (and Mia too who did very well!) and we all saw his little heartbeat (heartrate was 145), his stomach, bladder, little arms and legs and got to see him drinking the fluid! It was pretty cool!
This time around, the 2D images were clearer than they were with Mia. Our doc said it was probably b/c the hospital's equipment wasn't probably as up-to-date when we got our Mia's 2D done two years ago. Anywho, we got about 16 pics but some of them aren't the greatest b/c our little baby was moving around like crazy! He cooperated when she had me empty my bladder two times but besides that, he wouldn't let her get a face shot, but we came kind of close. Here is the link to the pics:

Our parents are very excited to have their 2nd (my parent's 3rd) grandbaby arriving this summer. My mom can't wait to shop! haha!! I'm excited to see how Mia will react to a new baby brother?! I'm sure she will do just fine! Now Josha and I just have to think of a middle name! We are very happy though as you can tell and glad the tech was able to tell us the gender today! :)
I also had my regular prenatal appointment which went well. Baby Keegan was active once again, had a heartbeat of 140-150 and sounded great. I weighed in at 129 (w/ clothes on) and have gained a total of 12 lbs so far. My next appointment is on May 10th when my doc will start measuring my belly.
Until next time.... :)
