Mia's 1 1/2 year old appt.

Mia had her 1 1/2 year old appt. today (or yesterday depending on when you read this) which wasn't too bad (shot wise that is). Mia got weighed and measured and did perfectly well on the scale where she lays down (hated it last time) and had one hand behind her head while she was getting weighed...it was cute. She did fine laying down too when they were measuring her which was a surprise b/c the last time she just screamed. Mia did not like it when our doc was listening to her breathing, but didn't mind when she looked in her ears. Speaking of ears, the doctor said Mia's ears look very well w/ no fluid. She said Mia's not a candidate for ear tubes b/c she's only had 3 sets (I counted them seperately but they count them as one). Plus she said if her ears clear up well with the antibiotics then that's usually a good sign. It's when they don't clear up that would be a cause for concern. Luckily, Mia's ears are just fine. I just hope our next flight is better than this last one. I really thought it could have been her ears which made her miserable...maybe not. Who knows.

Mia had to get 2 shots today, one of them being a follow up flu shot. She got one in each leg and screammmmedddd a lot (while Josh was holding her arms down) but def not as badly as last time. The assistant giving her the shot could have and should have been quicker with the 2nd shot but she def was not. It may have been only 20 seconds or so b/t the 1st and 2nd shot, but it seemed like forever before the 2nd shot went in. I was like "Come on!" Mia got the 2nd shot and screammmmmed again while Josh held and hugged her. She only cried for maybe 1 minute b/c the assistant gave us a basket full stickers for Mia to choose from which caused Mia to INSTANTLY stop crying!! Mia LOVES stickers so this was heaven to her. She chose two stickers and said "NEMO" when she picked a nemo one out. It was cute! PHEWWWWWWWW!

WEIGHT 25 lbs 10 oz 70% tile (same as her 15 month checkup)
HEIGHT 33 3/4 in 97% tile (always been this high...she's lengthy!)\n
HEAD Our doc said they don't measure the head circumference once babies turn 1 year old.

Mia's next appt. isn't until she is 2 years old which is right around the corner in July...already!
